You know these on sale racks at the grocery store? Well, that's where I found 6 pears for 0,99$!

I didn't really feel like making a pie or a crumble. The thing is, when you make a dessert, you have to eat it all in a few days. But if you make a sorbet, you can keep it in the freezer for a long time! Plus, you can decide the quantity of sugar you put in it.
Those pear may not look really great but they were perfect once pealed!
Buying these means less food waste because the grocery store might have brown them away.
Sorbet doesn't need a lot of ingredients and you can make this recipe with many other fruits such as apples, peaches, plums, strawberries, raspberries, lemon, etc.

All you need to do is freeze the fruits and crush them in a food processor along with a simple syrup and an egg white until you get a smooth texture.

So here is the official recipe!

INGREDIENTS:
6 pears, pealed and cut into cubes
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 egg white
Freeze the pears on a baking sheet for about 2 hours or more.
In a sauce pan, bring the water, sugar and lemon juice to a boil. Let the syrup cool down.
Crush the pears with the syrup and egg white in a food processor until you obtain a smooth texture*. Freeze the mixture in a container for about 2 hours.
* You can add other flavours as you like, such as 1 tbsp vanilla or even 2 tbsp of alcohol like sake or rhum.
Bon appétit!
